DAY 2: Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Experience
After an early morning breakfast at around 06:45hrs, set off for your gorilla tracking in the forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National park which normally starts at 08:00hrs, well dressed in long sleeved tops and long down fits ready for the activity. This Park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time is taken to find them and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates.
Though the time spent to track down these Gorillas is unpredictable, the thrill of spending time and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience.
The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they play and interact.
Depending on how far or near the Gorillas will be from the camp, one can hardly predict how many hours tracking can take, but normally we always say it takes 3-4hours inclusive of 1hour that trackers are allowed to spend with the Gorillas after reaching them, it’s hectic but an interesting moment.
There will be well trained game rangers with A.K 47 Gun for every one’s safety.
After the tracking, shall drive back to place of accommodation for refreshment as well as relaxation waiting to have lunch. After lunch, shall go for cultural encounter or the community walk where you will meet the pygmies (Batwa people).
Eventually after the experience, shall get back to your place of accommodation for dinner and overnight.
